How to use and customize templates
Templates are a very useful tool when designing a postcard on Mailfold. Follow these steps to use and customize yours.
1. Select DESIGN A POSTCARD
On the ‘Postcard Design’ view select your card size and then click on ‘Design a Postcard.
2. Click on CREATE A FRONT DESIGN
Scroll down and click on ‘Create a front design’.
3. Click on TEMPLATE
The tools menu is located in the upper left corner. Click on ‘Template’ to see the templates.
Find the category that works best for design, you, or your business.
5. Select your template
As soon as you select your template, it will be shown on your canvas. You can visualize them before you choose one.
6. Customize the template
You can customize any of the items on the template, text, logo, images, shapes, and background. Just click on the item you want to customize or change.
Add a logo
To add your company, or your personal logo, click on the ‘Images’ tool and then on ‘Upload Images’. Click on ‘Select file to Upload’ and select your logo from your gallery. Then place it wherever you want it on the postcard design.
Change text style
After placing your logo, you can change the template’s text style. The ‘Style’ and ‘Arrange’ buttons are located on the right side of the screen. You can change the font, size, color, text alignment, and all the attributes you want.
Change shapes color
To change any shape color, click on ‘Style’ and then, click on the colored rectangle. After that click on the color square you want for your shape.
7. Click on SAVE
When you finish customizing the items on the template design, click on ‘Save’.
8. Click on CREATE A BACK DESIGN
After saving your front design, it is time to choose the back design template. Click on ‘Create a back design’.
9. Click on TEMPLATE
On the Tools menu located in the upper left corner, click on ‘Template’ to see the templates.
Choose one of your preferences from the templates.
10. Choose your template
Choose the template that works best for your postcard. As soon as you click on it, it will be shown on your canvas.
11. Customize your template
After selecting your template, use the ‘Text’, ‘Shape’, ‘Image’, ‘Background’, and ‘Personalize’ tools to make the postcard’s back look as you want.
Don’t forget you can also use the ‘Show/Hide bleed’, ‘Style’, and ‘Arrange’ tools.
12. Click on SAVE
When you are done customizing your back template, click on ‘Save.
