How to integrate your Shopify (Zapier)
If you have a Shopify store and want to send your customers a thank you postcard, gift card, or bonus, integrate it with Mailfold.
1. Go to CONTACTS
On the dashboard, click on ‘Contacts’.
2. Click on INTEGRATIONS or INTEGRATION
Now on the ‘Contacts’ view, go to the menu located on the right side of the screen. Then you can either click on ‘+Add Contacts’ and then on ‘Integrations’, or the ‘Integration’ blue button.
The ‘Integrations’ view will appear if you click on any of them.
3. Click on LEARN MORE
On the Automate with Zapier square, click on ‘Learn More’.
4. Create ZAP
The Zapier window will show up, now you have to click either on ‘Create Zap’ or star creating your workflow.
5. Connect Shopify
Start connecting the app on the ‘Create your own workflow’ space. In this case, Shopify.
Type ‘Shopify’ and select the Shopify icon on the search square.
6. Connect Mailfold
Type ‘Mailfold’ and select the Mailfold icon on the search square.
7. Select Trigger
Select the action that has to happen in Shopify. In this case, it is a ‘New customer’.
8. Select Action
Now, select the action you want to happen on Mailfold. In this case, is ‘Create contact’.
9. Click on TRY IT
After selecting your trigger and action, click on ‘Try it’.
10. Click on GET STARTED
Zapier will show you a small preview of the step you have to follow. Click on ‘Get started’. to begin.
11. Connect your Shopify account
Start connecting your Shopify account. To do that click on ‘Connect’.
12. Enter your domain
It is time to enter your Shopify domain username. Type it on the blank rectangle.
Once you finish entering your domain, click on ‘Yes, Continue’.
13. Click on NEXT
Once you have finished connecting your Shopify account, click on ‘Next’.
14. Connect your Mailfold account
It’s time to connect your Mailfold account with Zapier. To do so, click on ‘Connect’.
15. Click on NEXT
Sign in to your mailfold account. Automatically it will appear on the screen. If you are okay with your account information, click on ‘Next’.
16. Select the fields
Now select all the fields you want to include on Mailfold. There is some information mandatory required from Mailfold, to be able to mail postcards. But you can add customized fields to your lists.
Once you have selected the fields you want to include, click on ‘Next’.
17. Map the information
Now it is time to map the fields from Shopify into Mailfold. To do so, click on the field and select the respective information to be taken from Shopify.
This information will be taken from your Shopify customers’ information. You can visualize it by going to the admin view, and clicking on ‘Customers’.
Select the information you want to include on the Mailfold list.
18. Name contacts list
Once you have finished with the information, it is time to name your contacts list. This will be the name of the list on Mailfold.
19. Click on NEXT
If you are okay with the name you picked, it is time for the next step. To do that, click on ‘Next’.
20. Click on SEND TEST
If the information you selected is correct, and you are okay with everything, click on ‘Send Test’.
A message has to appear telling that the test was sent.
21. Check Mailfold
Once the message appears on the screen, go to your Mailfold account. Then click on ‘Contacts’.
On the contacts view, you have to be able to visualize the list you created from Zapier. If you can’t visualize it, check the information twice.
22. Click on TURN ON ZAP
Once your information appears on your Mailfold account, go back to Zapier. Then review the information, and if it’s okay, click on ‘Turn on Zap’.
Once it’s one, this message will appear. That means your Shopify integration with Mailfold is ready.
